2021 Contest Theme:
With Responsibility Comes Reward: Holding Ourselves Accountable

The PAHMA Board of Directors is pleased to support the 2021 Art and Poster Contest sponsored by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA).  This is the 35th year that NAHMA has held a drug-free themed art and poster contest.  This contest is open to children, adults age 55 and older, and disabled or special needs residents of our affordable housing communities.

THE 2021 ART & POSTER CONTEST DEADLINE IS MAY 7th
…GET YOUR CAMERAS READY!

ALL ORIGINAL ARTWORK must first be submitted by photograph to info@pahma.org.  
The deadline for entry is Friday, May 7th. 
The qualifying artwork will then move to the local judging, to be held virtually May 12th.

Local Winners will be notified and original artwork collected.  These pieces will be sent to NAHMA for the national judging.

LET YOUR ARTISTS KNOW ABOUT THE CONTEST AND HOW TO SUBMIT THEIR ORIGINALS BY PHOTOGRAPH.

2020 Contest Theme (for 2021 Calendar)
MY VOICE WILL BE HEARD: “Speaking the Language of Love

Jamaica Johnson, a 12th-grader from Pittsburgh, Penn., has been named the grand prizewinner in NAHMA’s annual AHMA Drug-Free Kids poster and art contest. The talented artist’s creation will appear on the cover of NAHMA’s 2021 calendar. Jamaica, 17, also receives an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., for a future NAHMA Biannual Top Issues in Affordable Housing conference, as well as a scholarship of $2,500 from the NAHMA Educational Foundation.

PAHMA thanks all the participants in the 2020 art contest and congratulates our first National Grand Prize Winner! High School Senior, Jamaica Johnson – Crawford Square, Pittsburgh, PA, McCormack Baron Management Services.  Jamaica has shared her talent in the calendar contest for the past six years and has been a National Winner several times.  We congratulate her on this honor in her last year of student eligibility and wish her a bright and creative future.
